LGBT Immigration Issues

If you are a lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender person who is in a relationship with a non-citizen and either want to help them stay in the U.S. or enter the U.S., please talk to an attorney first.  There are a lot of potential negative outcomes for LGBT people who do things like get married to their same-sex partner in an effort to help them stay here.

It is important to remember that the federal government still does not recognize same-sex marriage.  The federal government is also where all immigration decisions are made.  So before you marry your same-sex partner, talk to us. We can help you explore the best options you have under our current laws.
